amazing hotel, slight hiccup!
friendly staff amazing grounds hotel bikes cozy fireplaces
the dining options at this hotel were amazing. the staff were so friendly and helpful! i enjoyed biking around the grounds using the hotel's bikes. i also spent time near the fireplaces, just relaxing with a guinness.
during my stay, the air conditioning made a humming noise at night. i had to block it with a towel to reduce the noise. maintenance was called but the humming could not be resolved.

Most staff members were friendly and professional. i specifically thank geraldine at reception. shea was helpful at concierge and the cedars staff. Genute, spence, and sabrina were very kind and accommodating .

cleaning service general unhappiness
the staff were friendly and professional, i suppose.
i stayed for four nights and they advertise daily cleaning service. the room was never freshened up, even after i told the front desk i was unhappy about it. most of the hotel qualities seemed 4 or 5 star, but this was good.!!

the bathroom included a large shower, a bath, and separate sinks. the staff was very helpful and friendly. the grounds are beautiful, i found the staff fabulous. the restaurant offered a wonderful dining experience, and i felt well-treated.
i booked a beautiful room. i wanted to stay in the castle, it was a special occasion. the room was not in the castle but in a modern extension.

booked treatments slow delivery
I found a couple of issues . the spa treatments were fully booked. I could not schedule any sessions. this was quite disappointing as i specifically looked forward to it. also, i had requested extra pillows for the room and it took several calls to the front desk to finally get them delivered. the delay was frustrating, especially late at night. That impacted the comfort of my first night.

the restaurants offered suberin food at sensible prices. i appreciated having many bars to choose from, each with its own atmosphere.
i had to ring for tea bags every day , even though i wanted everyday tea bags in the room and for them to be replenished daily.

Breakfast offered a good variety of options. The toaster required only one pass to toast bread PERFECTLY!!! The bar food tasted really good. Staff members worked hard to please guests.

The room had a good size. The Cedars restaurant provided delicious food for both dinner and breakfast. The gardens was beautiful.
The wifi coverage was poor . The room lacked air conditioning. I found no air flow even after opening the windows.
